Our Mission

Fondée en 2016, l’association Shihzu Pets Home a pour mission d’offrir à chaque Shihzu un foyer aimant et permanent. Nous proposons des services de sauvetage, de réhabilitation et de placement pour les animaux dans le besoin, tout en promouvant la possession responsable d’animaux de compagnie et la connaissance de la race.

We understand that life's circumstances can change. The Shihzu Pets Home association strives, without judgment, to rehome dachshunds in need, offering them loving and permanent homes with people who appreciate the unique personality and quirks of these little balls of fluff. We also provide educational resources for current and future dachshund owners, while collaborating with responsible and registered breeders and relevant organizations to support canine health and well-being.

Adoption Process

We understand that there are many reasons why you might be hesitant to adopt a dog, and we know it's a very difficult decision to make.

If you have any doubts and would simply like to discuss them, please don't hesitate to contact us. A member of our team will be happy to listen and help you make the right decision, or guide you through the adoption process and help you choose the best option.

We do not charge a replacement fee and do not finance the purchase of dogs requiring replacement.
We require an adoption fee from new owners. This is to ensure that the people who will welcome the dog are the best fit for its needs. Adopting a dog is a financial commitment, and we want every dog to be considered a full-fledged member of the family.
Adoption fees are used to cover veterinary care that some dogs require when adopted, including vaccinations, medications, spaying/neutering, dental treatments, and other necessary procedures or expenses.
We respond to requests the same day. In case of an emergency requiring immediate assistance, please call us directly.
